What happens next?

This week we have been working with photoshop! We had to combine two unlikely pictures into one. I took a picture of a monster truck and a picture of two little puppies running. You had to copy the picture of the monster tuck first, then the other one. You had to take out the background with the puppies and shrink them down. Above is my "What happens next?". So what happens next??? 

Ceramics

Our lastest project is our ceramics. We each had to make a bowl or plate. First we had to cut out a template and make sure it fit in our bowl. Next we got a slab of clay and roll it out to fit our template. Next we had to cut out a piece of clay to fit our template. Then we had to draw a design in a sketchbooks to put on our bowls and added it to our bowls the next day. Finally we put it in the kiln and waited for it to be fired. Finally today we added glaze to our bowls to make it be glossy. Now we have to have them fired in the kiln again. Above is the picture of my bowl/plate thing. 

(By the way, I hate this picture.) 

Pastel Still Life

This time we worked on still life. Each table in the room had an arrangement on it and we had to draw part of it. First we had to pick a part of the arrangement and start drawing it on our paper.  After we finished drawing it we used pastels to color it. we had to have many different colors, shadows, and highlights. Above is the final picture, hope you like it as much as I do.

Rainbow Coke

This week we worked on Localized Perspective boxes. You started with a picture off the computer and changed it and made it a crazy color. Then we added a caption that didn't fit the picture at all, like "taste the rainbow". Next you traced it onto boxes and a paper. The next day we painted it the colors to match the orginal picture and added a background. finally we displayed them in the library so everyone could see them. It turned out amazing, above is a picture of the finished project!!!

Stencils

This week we each made a stencil. First we went to the computer lab and printed out a picture of anything we wanted. Then made the black and white. The next step was to trace the picture to enlage it and decided weather to cut out the black or white, I cut out the black. Then we had to make a frame.

Above is me and my friends getting ready to cut the wood for our frames and nailed them together. We backed our frames with cardboard and began painting them with whatever color we wanted. finally we used our stencil and spray-panited them onto our frames. Here I am spray-painting...

Finally we got to take them home, here is the final picture......

The Pokemon-Cat-Thing

This week we worked on a project that I call mossic brick picture. We each printed off a picture in new colors that were not in the orginal. Then we all got in groups and choose one picture to do, we choose a calico cat. After that we went in the court yard and started working. Each brick was 3 pixels. One person would add dots with chalk on the bricks to the wall that matched the colors in the picture. For the whole week we worked on the picture until we got ......... a cat thing, that looks more like Pokemon than a cat.

Oil Pastels Portrait

This week we worked on a project where we had to draw a person that we knew and make a portrait of them. I decided to do my little sister, Emily. First we had to make a grid on the picture and paper then start drawing them on the big paper. After we drew them on the big paper we used oil pastels to color them in a crazy way. Above is me coloring my picture.
